Read it first

芽衣めいは少すこしも怖こわくありません。

mei wa sukoshi mo kowaku arimasen.

What do you think this sentence means?

Mei is not scared at all.

Why it means that

Emphasize not even a little

少すこしも~ない means not the slightest amount or not at all. 少すこし sets a tiny amount that the negative predicate denies.

Example

この荷物にもつは少すこしも重おもくないです。

kono nimotsu wa sukoshi mo omokunai desu.

This luggage is not heavy at all.

How it is built

Form and use 少しも~ない

Use a negative form even though 少すこし alone means a little. This can sound emphatic. 少すこしだけ instead allows a small positive amount.

少しも+Negative predicate
