Explain what an expression means

~という意味いみです explains the meaning of a word, sign, or phrase. The explanation comes before という意味いみ, so you can give the meaning as a whole clause.

“muryou” wa okane ga iranai to iu imi desu.

The word “muryou” means that no payment is required.

How it is built

Form and use ~という意味
