takusan aruita node, onsen ni hairitakute shouganai desu.

What do you think this sentence means?

Because we walked so much, I really, really want to get into a hot spring.

Why it means that

Express an overwhelming feeling or sensation

~てしょうがない (or ~てしかたがない) attaches to emotions, physical sensations, or desires in the て-form to express that a feeling is so intense that the speaker cannot control or help it ("unbearably...", "cannot help feeling...").

Conjugate an emotion or feeling verb, i-adjective, or desire into its て-form, followed directly by しょうがない or しかたがない without も.

emotion / sensation て-form+しょうがない/しかたがない
