つき (tsuki) vs ガツ (gatsu)/ゲツ (getsu) — when to use which?
- つき = the moon in the sky: 月がきれいです(つき が きれい です, tsuki ga kirei desu) = The moon is beautiful.
- 〜月(〜がつ, -gatsu) = month names: 一月(いちがつ, ichigatsu) = January, 四月(しがつ, shigatsu) = April.
